HR Advisor
£40,000–£45,000 | Permanent | 100% On-site
We're recruiting for an established international engineering and manufacturing business looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle.
Working closely with managers and employees, you'll combine day-to-day HR administration with first-line advice across employee relations, absence, probation, performance and general people matters.
What you'll be doing Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees
Manage employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct matters
Support managers with investigations, meetings and associated documentation
Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and day-to-day people issues
Oversee HR administration including new starters, contractual changes and leavers
Maintain accurate employee records and HR data
Prepare contracts, letters and other HR documentation
Monitor and support probation reviews, extensions and outcomes
Produce HR reports and support people metrics
Help ensure HR processes remain compliant with employment legislation and company policy
Support improvements to HR processes, systems and documentation
What we're looking for You'll need previous experience working as a generalist HR Advisor within a manufacturing environment.
You should also have:
Experience handling first-line employee relations cases
Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Strong HR administration experience
Experience advising and coaching managers
CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or be working towards one
Experience using an HRIS
Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail
You'll be joining a well-established international business where HR is closely involved with the day-to-day operation and works directly with managers across the organisation.
