M&E Facilities Manager

We are working with a growing building contractor and FM provider who is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Facilities Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial maintenance contracts across London.
This is a key role within the department, reporting directly to the Department Director, and will suit someone who can manage service delivery, lead engineers, deal confidently with clients, and help grow maintenance accounts through small works, remedials and strong account management.
The role would suit an FM professional with a strong HVAC / mechanical bias who understands PPM, reactive maintenance, compliance, budgets, engineers and client expectations.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a mix of commercial sites across London, including offices, retail and leisure environments. You will oversee both mobile and static engineers, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered properly, safely, commercially and to the required standard.
Alongside day-to-day delivery, you will also work closely with clients to identify additional works, quote small projects, support account growth and help strengthen long-term client relationships.
Duties will include:
- Managing M&E facilities maintenance contracts across London
- Overseeing PPM schedules, reactive maintenance and planned works
- Managing a mix of mobile engineers and static site-based engineers
- Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to agreed service levels
- Acting as a key point of contact for commercial clients
- Attending client meetings, site reviews and service performance meetings
- Quoting small works, remedials and additional maintenance projects
- Helping grow existing maintenance accounts through strong client relationships
- Managing budgets, costs, margins and basic P&L performance
- Coordinating labour, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist services
- Reviewing compliance, documentation, reports and maintenance records
- Supporting the Department Director with operational performance and contract development
- Driving service quality, engineer performance and client satisfaction
- Experience in an M&E facilities, building services or maintenance management role
- Strong mechanical / HVAC knowledge preferred
- Experience managing commercial maintenance contracts
- Background working across commercial sites such as offices, retail, leisure or similar environments
- Able to manage PPM, reactive maintenance, engineers and subcontractors
- Experience managing mobile and/or static engineering teams
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, margins or P&L
- Confident quoting small works, remedials or additional project works
- Strong client-facing skills and comfortable developing existing accounts
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple sites across London
- Based within reasonable travel distance of East London / London sites
