We're recruiting for an established international engineering and manufacturing business looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle.
Working closely with managers and employees, you'll combine day-to-day HR administration with first-line advice across employee relations, absence, probation, performance and general people matters.
What you'll be doing
- Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees
- Manage employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct matters
- Support managers with investigations, meetings and associated documentation
- Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and day-to-day people issues
- Oversee HR administration including new starters, contractual changes and leavers
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data
- Prepare contracts, letters and other HR documentation
- Monitor and support probation reviews, extensions and outcomes
- Produce HR reports and support people metrics
- Help ensure HR processes remain compliant with employment legislation and company policy
- Support improvements to HR processes, systems and documentation
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working as a generalist HR Advisor within a manufacturing environment
- Experience handling first-line employee relations cases
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Strong HR administration experience
- Experience advising and coaching managers
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or be working towards one
- Experience using an HRIS
- Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail
