About the Role

Gapp Search is currently seeking experienced Gold Card Electricians and Improvers with proven experience of Solar Installations on large developments to join a major residential project in Kent. You will be responsible for the professional installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems on new-build residential units, ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute electrical wiring plans for solar PV installations, including DC-to-AC inverter integration.
  • Install, test, and commission electrical circuits and solar components in compliance with MCS and current safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work effectively on active construction sites, collaborating with other trades to meet project timelines.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and wiring diagrams to guide installation and grid-tie connections.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards, including the use of PPE and adherence to site-specific health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Valid ECS Gold Card (Installation/Approved Electrician).
  • Proven experience in Solar PV installations and grid-tied systems.
  • Strong knowledge of current electrical safety regulations and building codes.
