About the Role
Gapp Search is currently seeking experienced Gold Card Electricians and Improvers with proven experience of Solar Installations on large developments to join a major residential project in Kent. You will be responsible for the professional installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems on new-build residential units, ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute electrical wiring plans for solar PV installations, including DC-to-AC inverter integration.
- Install, test, and commission electrical circuits and solar components in compliance with MCS and current safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Work effectively on active construction sites, collaborating with other trades to meet project timelines.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and wiring diagrams to guide installation and grid-tie connections.
- Maintain rigorous safety standards, including the use of PPE and adherence to site-specific health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Valid ECS Gold Card (Installation/Approved Electrician).
- Proven experience in Solar PV installations and grid-tied systems.
- Strong knowledge of current electrical safety regulations and building codes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, specifically regarding electrical testing and diagnostics.
- Reliable, professional, and capable of representing Gapp Search on-site.
