gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a QC Inspector to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City.

Performance Objectives

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical sheets.
  • Carry out dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
  • Proficient in the use of handheld measuring devices including callipers, gauges, micrometres etc.
  • Work to set daily targets.
  • Record non-conformances in a descriptive manner.
  • Signing C of C (training provided).
  • Completing first off and final inspection.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an aerospace inspection environment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
  • Use of handheld measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CMM.
  • Experience of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
