Ready to get hands-on with industry-leading equipment and make a real impact? We're looking for a skilled and motivated Mobile Fitter to join our high-performing Plant & Tool division. As a Mobile Fitter, you'll play a key role in keeping our fleet of diggers, dumpers, and hand tools hire-ready. Based from a home depot, you'll carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs both in the depots and on customer sites, ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform when our customers need it. This is a hands-on, high-impact role offering real career progression in a company that invests in its people.

About You:

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Servicing and maintaining a wide range of plant and tool equipment within the GAP fleet
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently, both in the depots and on customer sites
  • Completing servicing, inspections, and repairs to maintain high standards of safety and reliability
  • Accurately updating service records, tagging equipment, and completing test certificates and associated paperwork
  • Working independently on customer sites while complying with GAP and customer Health & Safety requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented vehicle and workspace
  • Supporting general workshop and depot activities as required

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as a plant mechanic/fitter, with a relevant qualification or time-served background in an industry with transferable skills is welcomed
  • Solid, up-to-date knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting depot operations
  • A customer-focused mindset and a collaborative team spirit
  • A full valid driving licence is essential
