gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Site Maintenance Technician to work at their facility based near Wrexham.

Performance Objectives:
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, production lines, plant and machinery, diagnose and repair applying fault finding and repair skills with minimum downtime to operations.
  • Assist with developing planned maintenance schedules for routine inspections on equipment, building and facility inspections optimising time and resources effectively.
  • Conduct routine equipment, building and facility inspections to ensure ongoing functionality and compliance, report maintenance needs, repairs and potential issues.
  • Supervise and support contractors/tradesmen (e.g. electricians, plumbers, engineers) during installations, repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Contribute to projects coordination (e.g. cost reductions initiatives and operational improvements).
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality, environmental and health and safety regulations.
  • Provide support to the production department, helping achieve efficiency and operational targets.
  • Support the Senior Maintenance Supervisor to achieve department objectives, KPI's and strategic plans.
  • Step in for the Senior Maintenance Supervisor when required.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken to the highest standards, following company policies and procedures, while upholding health and safety protocols.
  • Operate forklift truck and lifting equipment safely, ensuring proper use of PPE and adherence to safety requirements.
