Boltongap technical are representing an established food manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their facility in Bolton. Salary £53,000 Per Annum.
Performance Objectives
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately within required timescales.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of the Engineering department.
- Help achieve Engineering KPIs and operational targets.
- Participate in both planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Assist with the development and full utilisation of the CMMS system.
- Mentor and support fellow team members where required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Production and other support departments.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, Health & Safety regulations, and Food Hygiene standards.
- Maintain plant and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Identify and implement productivity and labour-saving improvements alongside production teams.
- Provide technical engineering support and training to Line Technicians.
Person Specification
- Strong engineering knowledge gained within an FMCG maintenance environment.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage workload effectively and demonstrate high performance standards.
- Multi‑skilled engineer with ONC / NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Maintenance Engineering.
- Good communication and IT skills.
