gap technical is proud to be representing a leading national manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their site near Runcorn.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain plant equipment, services, and buildings on-site.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Complete GMP assessments and ensure compliance; report and act on findings.
- Assist the Senior Shift Engineer in implementing cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship (Level 3 or higher).
- Electrically biased (essential).
- Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical manufacturing (advantageous).
- Confident with computer systems and maintenance software.
- Strong communication skills - able to liaise across all levels.
- Resilient under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
- A strong team player with solid problem-solving skills.
