Performance Objectives
- Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, repairs & MOTs on HGV's, Trailers, Pool Cars & Other Plant to VOSA standard.
- Diagnose and rectify all types of mechanical & electrical faults using Texa diagnostic equipment.
- Dismantle, repair/replace faulty components and test the new ones are working safely.
- Liaise with HGV workshop administrator to order vehicle parts.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and accurate records are maintained.
- Good communication and maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
Person Specification
- 8+ Years of HGV/Plant Technician experience.
- Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
- Holds valid HGV Class 1 (C&E) Licence (Desirable).
- MOT Preparation Experience - Tractor Units & Trailers.
- Previous experience working with HGV's and Plant, basic welding skills, hydraulic & auto electrical skills.
- Ability to lead a small team as well as use own initiative.
