gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Finance Analyst to work at their facility based near Tamworth.

Performance Objectives
  • Analysis and manipulation of large amounts of data
  • Ownership of preparation of the sales forecast and daily/weekly KPIs and tracking of variance thereon
  • Provide value-add business reporting to key management stakeholders primarily outside of the finance function, including development of new reports and responding to ad-hoc requests
  • Play a critical role in the analysis and reporting of margins, including analysis of production and purchase price variances, co-ordinating with stakeholders to resolve in a timely manner
  • Support wider business to drive automation of periodic reporting to reduce site workload using a variety of tools
  • Cross-collaboration to understand operational nature of variances identified
  • To think logically and creatively to come up with new ideas to improve processes and reporting
  • Aid in segregation of duties between multiple systems and drive a strong control environment
  • Own the day to day management of inventory including investigations, analysis and improvement actions, including leading annual stock takes
  • Support the FC during the month end process, with a focus on inventory
Person Specification
  • A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Prior experience working in a finance environment
  • MS Office with Intermediate Excel skills
  • Demonstrate ability to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data
  • Working in a pressured environment, requiring flexibility to achieve tight deadlines
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate and liaise effectively at all levels within the Company; primarily outside of the finance function
  • Ability to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data
  • Skilled at producing clear information summaries from complex report outputs
Desirable
  • Business or IT related degree
  • Prior knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry
  • Other database knowledge
