Performance Objectives
- Create and develop 2D and 3D CAD designs based on technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Generate and optimise CNC programs using CAM software for precision machining.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure designs meet quality and manufacturing standards.
- Download and control Data in/out SET.
- Analyse new ECR requests against existing Data.
- Create drawings.
- Generate cutter paths / Power shape.
- Review and modify existing designs to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues in collaboration with production staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, drawings, and production processes.
Person Specification
- 5+ years' experience in a CAD/CAM Operator role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Injection mould experience essential.
- 3D Solid modelling experience.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360).
- Experience with CAM programming and CNC machining processes.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
