CNC Machinist £40,500 Birmingham Continental Days & Nights (7-7)

gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a CNC Machinist to work at their facility based near Kitts Green.

Performance Objectives

  • Operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines.
  • Operating CNC Lathes.
  • Operating Saws.
  • Change of Jigs and entering new programmes.
  • Tensile Testing.
  • Fracture Toughness Testing.
  • Stress Corrosion Testing.
  • Material Analysis and Quality Records input.
  • Future Training in Laboratory Testing.

Once trained you will machine and test to high quality standards aiming for 100% on time delivery while placing Quality Assurance and Health & Safety first. All team members are expected to be proactive in making improvements e.g. machine reliability, process design, quality assurance, etc.

Person Specification

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Good Numeracy, English, and Reasoning ability (an entrance test will be given).

Preferred Qualifications

  • BTEC Engineering Diplomas or A Levels in Maths or Science.
  • CNC experience.
