Maintenance Engineer £42,000 + Overtime • Wigan • 3x Shift (Earlies/Lates/Nights).
gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with Electrical bias to work at their facility based near Wigan.
Responsibilities
- Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on machinery and site utilities.
- Carry out electrical & some mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Support equipment installations and upgrades.
- Drive uptime and reliability by quickly resolving breakdowns.
- Uphold Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments for effective communication and minimal disruption.
- Identify and implement engineering improvements.
Person Specification / Qualifications
- HNC in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
- Solid understanding of health & safety and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- A problem-solving, hands-on approach and continuous improvement mindset.
- FMCG/Food experience (preferred).
- Experience working on PLCs - Mitsubishi & Siemens (Preferred).
