Location: Welwyn Garden City | Working days: Mon‑Fri | Salary: Competitive

Performance Objectives

  • Develop NPI projects with all relevant departments and manage projects to successful completion.
  • Support commercial requirements of the department and other units.
  • Produce estimates, technical and manufacturing proposals to support bids and new business development.
  • Evaluate and analyse customer data, specifications and supply documentation to determine raw material, purchased and subcontract requirements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations and Purchasing to prepare robust competitive proposals.
  • Lead process improvements and drive change within the team.
  • Ensure engineering and quality requirements for products are fully understood and met.
  • Produce weekly and monthly quotation status reports and chase outstanding quotations via the Account Management Team.
  • Create and update monthly KPIs and take action to achieve targets.
  • Develop, implement and sustain a safe working culture, ensuring Health & Safety requirements are complied with.
  • Maintain close and collaborative relationships with all departments and support customer visits as required.
  • Assist the team with ad‑hoc duties as required.

Person Specification

  • Experience interpreting technical drawings and BOMs to extract relevant processes and materials for quotation.
  • Strong estimating and quotation skills.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to manufacturing.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of inspection procedures & standards.
  • Experience with MS Project & Visio or similar.

Desirable

  • Engineering qualification.
  • Operational qualification.
  • Aerospace industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Azure or similar project management software.
