Gap Technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Laser Operator to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City.

Performance Objectives:

  • Understanding of 2D & 3D laser cutting programmes using Tru-Tops 3D software (knowledge of Boost software an advantage).
  • Create nesting for laser cutting using Tru-Tops software.
  • Set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance.
  • Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
  • Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
  • Fully trained laser operator.
  • Working knowledge of machines, cutting speeds and feeds and tolerances.
