Are you ambitious, driven and looking to build a successful career in recruitment? We're looking for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing engineering recruitment business. Whether you have previous recruitment experience or are looking to take your first step into the industry, we're more interested in your attitude, ambition and willingness to learn. You'll be working within the engineering recruitment sector, helping businesses find highly skilled engineering professionals while developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building strong relationships with candidates
  • Sourcing and engaging with candidates through various channels
  • Conducting candidate interviews and understanding their career goals
  • Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement
  • Advertising vacancies and proactively searching for suitable candidates
  • Negotiating salaries, fees and offers
  • Maintaining accurate candidate and client records
  • Developing your knowledge of different recruitment markets
  • Working towards individual and team sales targets

You'll ideally have:

  • A strong work ethic and desire to build a career
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence speaking to people on the phone and face-to-face
  • The ability to build rapport and develop relationships
  • Resilience and the determination to keep going when things don't go your way
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • Fresh graduates looking for first step in industry / experience in sales, customer service, business development, account management would be beneficial but is not essential.
