gap technical are proud to be representing a national food manufacturing business in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a modern facility near Wrexham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns to support the manufacturing process.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks and implement corrective actions on reoccurring faults.
- Prioritise breakdowns and maintain focus on your nominated production area.
- Fault-find efficiently using technical documentation and machine history.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure minimal downtime.
- Train operators in minor maintenance and assist in major repair tasks.
- Maintain machinery to a high standard in line with safety and quality expectations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reduction of engineering downtime.
Candidate Profile:
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred).
- Multi skilled Engineer with either electrical bias.
- Experience in food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills are essential.
