Performance Objectives- Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of aerospace components.
- This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong attention to detail to ensure that all tasks are completed to stringent specifications of the aerospace industry.
- Assist in the assembly and fitting of aerospace components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Carry out routine inspections and quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with skilled fitters and engineers to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any issues or defects identified during the fitting process to supervisors or quality control.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills through on-the-job training.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the job.
