gap technical are representing a market-leading business seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide interim maintenance support at their Kent site.

Performance Objectives

  • Reactive breakdown support to minimise disruption
  • Execution of planned and preventative maintenance activities
  • Electrical & Mechanical fault diagnosis using drawings, diagnostics, and equipment history
  • Identification and rectification of recurring equipment faults, including implementation of permanent corrective actions
  • Support for continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime
  • Collaboration with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operation
  • Assistance with machinery modifications, upgrades, and repair works as required
  • All services delivered in compliance with site health, safety, and food hygiene standards

Profile

  • Time-served engineer or demonstrable equivalent industry experience
  • Multi Skilled Capabilities with proven capability in FMCG manufacturing environments
  • Experience working with:
    • 3-phase electrical systems
    • Motors, drives, inverters, and safety circuits
    • I/O PLC fault-finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley or similar)
    • Automated food production and packaging equipment
  • Able to work with minimal direction, managing workload and priorities independently
  • Strong communication skills when liaising with site stakeholders
