Gap Technical is proud to be representing a leading FMCG/food manufacturing business in its search for an Engineering Team Leader to join a modern production facility near North London.

  • Lead and coordinate the engineering team to ensure rapid response to equipment breakdowns, minimising production downtime and maintaining operational performance.
  • Provide technical leadership in fault finding and root cause analysis, supporting engineers and operators with complex maintenance and continuous development.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to maximise equipment uptime while ensuring all engineering activities comply with health & safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, monitor engineering performance metrics, and support effective planning and resource allocation across the department.

Experience leading teams in an engineering function is required. Previous experience within food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills are essential.
