Performance Objectives
- Prepare moulds and work surfaces by cleaning and applying release agents.
- Cut, lay-up, and fit composite materials, such as carbon fibre, according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Apply resin and other bonding agents to composite materials, ensuring even distribution and proper adhesion.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and fit composite components.
- Inspect laminated parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
- Trim, sand, and finish laminated components to meet specified dimensions and surface finishes.
- Work closely with production team leaders and quality control to ensure all parts meet the required specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of laminating tools and equipment.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of laminating techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in laminating and fitting processes.
