gap technical are proud to be representing an established manufacturing Business in their search for an industrial installation electrician.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical installation, including containment, wiring, panels, and equipment.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics across electrical systems.
  • Planned and reactive maintenance of electrical installations.
  • Emergency lighting testing, inspection, and compliance.
  • Conducting testing, inspection, and certification as required.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to current electrical regulations and safety standards.
  • Completion of detailed job reports and documentation.
  • Professional liaison with site managers and clients.
  • Proficient in the installation of containment systems, including basket, tray, and ladder.
  • Experience with underground duct work and cable pulling.
  • Competent in making of cables up to 300mm and glanding armoured cables.
  • Skilled in fault finding and replacing components such as contactors, relays, etc.
  • Experience with wall chasing for electrical installations.
  • Expertise in first and second fixing for residential properties.
  • Strong understanding and experience with 3-phase systems.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, driven by efficiency and precision.

Requirements:

  • Time-served Electrical Engineer / Electrician.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • JIB Gold Card holder.
  • Experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
  • Competent in fault finding and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently on site.
  • Full UK driving licence.
