Gap Construction are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment, alteration, and major works projects across multiple sectors. We are looking for a motivated Building Surveyor to join the team, delivering a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, education, leisure, and retail sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex refurbishment and major works schemes while supporting client relationships and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead surveying and contract administration across projects
- Undertake building surveys, feasibility studies, and provide technical advice
- Prepare and review specifications, tender documentation, and contracts (JCT)
- Manage defects, variations, and project communications
- Mentor junior staff and support knowledge sharing
Person Specification:
- Experience in Building Surveying, including refurbishment or social housing
- Contract Administration experience with JCT contracts
- Strong technical knowledge of construction and refurbishment works
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
