gap technical are seeking a dependable and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join our clients team on a contract basis within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work on a rotating days and nights pattern, carrying out maintenance on a variety of production machinery and electrical systems to minimise downtime and maintain safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective, timely repairs.
- Work on motors, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), 3-phase systems, and safety relays as part of routine maintenance and breakdown response.
- Ensure all work complies with site safety standards, regulations, and electrical legislation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a fast-paced FMCG/Manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of motors, VSDs, 3-phase electrical systems, and safety relays.
- Solid fault-finding skills on industrial electrical equipment and PLC-based systems.
- Relevant electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently across shifts with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
