Gap Technical are representing a market-leading business seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide interim maintenance support at their Kent site.
Performance Objectives
- Reactive breakdown support to minimise disruption
- Execution of planned and preventative maintenance activities
- Electrical & Mechanical fault diagnosis using drawings, diagnostics, and equipment history
- Identification and rectification of recurring equipment faults, including implementation of permanent corrective actions
- Support for continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime
- Collaboration with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operation
- Assistance with machinery modifications, upgrades, and repair works as required
- All services delivered in compliance with site health, safety, and food hygiene standards
Profile
- Time-served engineer or demonstrable equivalent industry experience
- Multi Skilled Capabilities with proven capability in FMCG manufacturing environments
- Experience working with:
- 3-phase electrical systems
- Motors, drives, inverters, and safety circuits
- I/O PLC fault-finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley or similar)
- Automated food production and packaging equipment
- Able to work with minimal direction, managing workload and priorities independently
- Strong communication skills when liaising with site stakeholders
