MEP Project Manager for a Luxury Resort Development in the Caribbean. This is a full-time, on-site permanent expat opportunity, with relocation support to the Caribbean and housing provided by the company.

We are recruiting for an MEP Project Manager to join a major luxury resort development in the Caribbean. This is a rare opportunity to take on a career-defining role in an exceptional island location, working for a leading hotel and resort group with a strong pipeline of projects and long-term career growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will relocate to the island on a permanent expat basis, with relocation support, housing and additional expat benefits provided by the company.

The Opportunity

This role would suit an ambitious, hands-on MEP professional who is excited by the idea of combining a high-profile hospitality project with an international lifestyle opportunity. You will play a key role in ensuring that the mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements of new-build and refurbishment projects are properly reviewed, coordinated, implemented and delivered to the highest standards.

As this is a remote island location, day-to-day life and amenities can differ from those in major cities, and schooling options are more limited. For that reason, the role is likely to be best suited to candidates who are genuinely excited by island living and open to a flexible international move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and oversee all MEP aspects of resort construction and refurbishment projects
  • Work closely with the wider project team to ensure the successful delivery of MEP works across the full project lifecycle
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, phasing plans, construction sequencing and project schedules
  • Coordinate MEP systems and ensure integration across the wider build programme
  • Support the review of MEP submittals, shop drawings and technical documentation
  • Identify and help resolve design and construction issues, proposing practical technical solutions where needed
  • Monitor MEP subcontractor performance, progress, quality and compliance on site
  • Coordinate MEP materials, systems and installation activities
  • Liaise with consultants, MEP supervisory engineers, inspectors and project stakeholders
  • Assist with scope reviews, budgeting and change orders relating to MEP works
  • Ensure that quality documentation, records and as-built information are maintained accurately
  • Support the testing and commissioning of MEP systems and equipment
  • Promote asset maintainability, equipment reliability and infrastructure optimisation
  • Ensure all MEP works are carried out in accordance with project quality standards, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulations

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years’ construction experience, with strong exposure to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Solid understanding of building services, MEP coordination, HVAC&R and general construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schematics and contract documentation
  • Knowledge of local and international building codes, regulations and safety standards
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and compliance requirements such as OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ASHRAE, NEC and related building / facilities regulations
  • Previous experience within the hospitality sector is essential
  • Experience supporting or leading new-build and refurbishment projects within hotels, resorts or similar hospitality assets would be highly advantageous
  • Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across contractors, consultants and operational stakeholders

Why this role?!

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected hospitality group on a high-profile Caribbean project and to build a long-term career within the business. In return, the company offers:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Housing / housing allowance
  • Relocation support
  • Expat benefits package
  • The opportunity to work on a standout luxury resort development in a unique location
