We have been supporting my client with Industrial and Warehouse staff for a number of years and as their business is increasing, they are looking for 4 Machine Operators to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and monitor machinery, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production.
- Prepare machines for different tasks at the start of a shift by setting up equipment and performing minor calibrations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks, and perform minor repairs on machinery.
- Check the output to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery to keep production running smoothly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and health regulations and guidelines.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and report any issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in operating specific machinery.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to analyse situations and find solutions to problems.
- Meticulous attention to detail to spot irregularities and ensure quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials; physically demanding job.
- Strong commitment to following safety procedures.
- Ability to work well with other team members and under self-supervision.
Hours of work are 4 on 4 off (2 x 12 hour days and then 2 x 12 hour nights). These vacancies will become permanent for the right candidates.
