Responsibilities:
- Support and advise management and employees on health and safety matters
- Carry out, review and maintain COSHH risk assessments
- Complete general risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Conduct shop-floor inspections and safety audits
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses
- Support compliance with UK health & safety legislation
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site
Essential requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven COSHH experience within a manufacturing/Foundries/Metals
- Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation
- Experience working in Manufacturing - Foundries/Metal
- Ability to engage confidently with shop-floor teams
Desirable:
- IOSH membership (TechIOSH / GradIOSH)
- Experience in heavy or high-risk manufacturing environments
- ISO 45001 / 14001 exposure
Hours and compensation:
Hours of work are Days Monday-Friday. Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
