Job Title: Warehouse Operative & Multi-Drop Delivery Driver Location: Wickford, Essex Pay Rate: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Contract Type: Temp to Perm Overview: A well-established distribution business in Wickford is seeking a Warehouse Operative & Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join their team. This is a dual-role position, with an even split between warehouse duties and multi-drop deliveries. The role requires a candidate with solid forklift and delivery experience who can work across multiple departments in a fast-paced environment. Please note: Due to the location, having your own transport is essential. Interviews will be conducted by the client prior to the start date. Key Responsibilities: Driving Duties: * Load and unload vehicles efficiently * Make multi-drop deliveries across Essex, East London, SW London, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and nearby areas * Complete vehicle checks and report any issues * Use mobile apps to manage deliveries and record PODs * Report any delivery discrepancies or damages Warehouse Duties: * Replenish stock and maintain accurate stock levels * Receive and check goods-in * Conduct regular stock checks * Move stock between departments * Assist with heavy lifting and general warehouse tasks * Maintain a clean and well-organised warehouse * Provide support across different departments when needed Essential Requirements: * Accredited Counterbalance Licence (RTITB or equivalent – in-house licences will not be accepted) * At least 1 year of recent counterbalance forklift experience * Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points) * Good communication and customer service skills * Strong knowledge of the local delivery areas * Comfortable lifting up to 25kg and working at height * Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) * Reliable, punctual, and a team player
