gap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for 1 Warehouse Operative - Handballer for a permanent contract for a growing food import business supplying both food ingredients to the food manufacturing industry and finished products to the food service sector. The Client handles a wide range of food products and is expanding their operations as they move into a new, larger warehouse in Evesham.
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Warehouse Operative - handballer to join their warehouse team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys an active working environment and is flexible as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Emptying handball containers safely and efficiently
- Picking customer orders, including both full pallet and mixed pallet orders
- Dispatching customer orders accurately and on time
- Moving stock within the warehouse and maintaining stock rotation
- Occasional work within a food production area, following food safety procedures
- Ensuring health & safety and food hygiene standards are always followed
- Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
About You
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Reach truck and/or counterbalance FLT licenses are preferred but not essential
- Willing to be flexible with working hours as shift patterns will be determined by business demand following our move to the new site

The role would initially start based in our current warehouse in Cheltenham, with a view to transitioning fully over into our Evesham warehouse by the end of March. Once successful, the individual will be invited for an interview with the Client.
