We are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/Driver in Altrincham, WA14 Driving license required, and combi/forklift license desirable, however, client is willing to invest and pay for these courses if needed. Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 35 hours a week, 9am -5pm (no shift or weekend work) MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: * Picking & Packing goods for customers * POD’s & stock Ins check * Stocks allocations * Deliveries * Performs other general warehouse duties as needed. OVERVIEW: The job of Warehouse Picker/ Delivery Driver was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and loading and unloading orders. Warehouse Picker/ Delivery Driver reports directly to Warehouse Supervisor. THIS ROLE INCUDES: Picking & Packing Goods for Customers * FIFO applied for picking orders. * Picking orders quickly and accurately. * Treating products with care so they ready for collection/delivery in mint condition. * Lifting, wrapping and loading products for shipping. * Operating combi lift and ensures safety regulations are followed. * Loading delivery vehicles. * Preparing small items for despatch via courier. * Keeping work area clean and organized. * Maintaining a high level of health and safety standards and protocols. POD’s & Stock Ins Check * Checking POD’s documents and making sure they are signed appropriately by a customer while collecting /delivering good (Print Name + Signature). * Loading and unloading delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport. * Making sure deliveries from Poland are checked accurately with POD’s/ report missing goods from delivery to Procurement & GDS Coordinator. * All relevant paperwork from driver (goods from Poland) needs to be copied (2 copies) signed accordingly (original paperwork needs to be handled to Procurement & GDS Coordinator). * All stillages for despatch to Poland must be written down before shipment. Stocks Allocations * Stock must be unloaded and securely taken out from the stillages to designated locations in the warehouse. * Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses. Deliveries * Delivers a variety of items to customers as requested. * Drives vehicles (e.g. van, forklift) for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites. * Maintains delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fuelling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle. * Maintains records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
