Job Purpose
To support the safe, efficient, and compliant dismantling, sorting, and processing of end-of-life telecom equipment for reuse, recycling, or responsible disposal. The role contributes to operational output, stock accuracy, environmental standards, and safe working practices across the recycling function.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely dismantle telecom equipment using approved methods and basic hand tools.
- Identify components suitable for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
- Sort materials into the correct waste, recycling, or recovery streams, including metals, plastics, printed circuit boards, and batteries.
- Handle hazardous or sensitive components, including lithium‑ion batteries, in line with company procedure and safety requirements.
- Follow all health and safety rules, including PPE, manual handling, operational controls, and workstation safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard‑free workstation.
- Label recycling bins and materials clearly and consistently.
- Follow company policies, site rules, and reasonable management instructions always.

- Experience in a warehouse, recycling or production environment is desirable.
- Confidence using basic hand tools safely and correctly.
