We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our team in Nelson area.

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of leading to a permanent role for the right candidate.

The job involves working with both steel and timber, using machinery to cut, shape, and pack materials.

Full training will be given

What the role involves:

  • Cutting steel tube with a circular saw
  • Swaging steel tube with a swaging machine
  • Pressing and punching steel tube with a hydraulic press
  • Cutting timber with a circular saw
  • Packing timber into door frames and door packs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Someone who takes pride in their work and is thorough (sizes, measurements, correct packing)
  • Able to stay focused and work safely with machinery
  • A good attitude and willingness to learn
  • A forklift truck licence would be a bonus, but it’s not essential

What we offer:

  • £12.60 per hour
  • Steady full-time hours, Monday to Friday

Hours:

38 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-3pm, with half an hour for lunch

Pay:

£12.60 per hour
