Gap Personnel is currently recruiting for a skilled 6G TIG Welder to join our client in Walsall. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent role after just 3 months. If you have experience in TIG welding, specifically within the boiler or pressure vessel industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: Early finish at lunchtime
The Role:
- Perform 6G TIG welding on a variety of materials, with a primary focus on stainless steel.
- Experience in welding on complex structures, such as boilers and pressure vessels, ensuring all welds meet the highest standards of quality.
- Ensure that all welding work is completed according to health and safety regulations, and that the site maintains high safety standards.
- Perform welding tasks on large-scale projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
- Work as part of a skilled team, supporting the production process and meeting project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to best practices in welding and metalwork.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a 6G TIG Welder, with a focus on boiler or pressure vessel work.
- Strong understanding of welding codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to complete welding tasks accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
