Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Tipton for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
Hours of work: 7.15am to 4.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7.15am to 12.15pm on a Friday
Pay: £40-42K per annum dependent on experience
Job purpose: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, to carry out essential maintenance on all aspects of the operational equipment and facilities infrastructure with an emphasis on the electrical elements.
Responsibilities:
- To respond to breakdowns and ensure safety standards are kept to the highest level
- Conducting electrical repairs to breakdown of machinery and equipment
- Work through a program of PPM and help develop the agility system
- Ensure machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and are fit for purpose.
- Ensure adherence to all legal and safety requirements
- Undertake departmental housekeeping as required and maintain to 5C standard
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required to commensurate with the role
Knowledge & Competencies:
- Knowledge on mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulic machines
- Planned preventative maintenance scheduling
- Leadership and man management skills
- Competent problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and decision making
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Education: HND/BTEC qualification
- 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
- Experience: 2 - 3 years of progressive experience in a maintenance department, high level of technical competency.
- Desirable:
- Education: Engineering Degree, Electrical qualification
- Experience: Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
