gap personnel are recruiting 6 Warehouse Pickers for day shift role for the company in Thatcham. The company is a leading FMCG site, closely working with M&S, whose mission is to bring the magic of M&S Food to their millions of customers – whenever, wherever, and however they want to shop with them.
As a warehouse picker you will assist with the warehousing department as they look to pick and load the stock ready for distribution throughout the UK. For those that are able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the working hours there are permanent opportunities available.
Main Duties as a Warehouse Picker:
- Picking of singular and multiple items using voice headsets
- Ensuring items are picked as per client pick sheet
- Items checked for damage and defects and issues reported
- Stock replenishment when needed
- All other adhoc warehouse duties
Working Hours:
Any days out of 7, start time 10:00/11:00 – finish time depending on volume of the orders, may finish at 4pm, or when SLA is picked and packed. During peak time, shift may last up to 12 hours and start at 6am up to 6pm. Candidate must be flexible with start time and finish times when needed.
Hourly Pay Rates:
Basic Rate - £12.73
Successful candidates will have experience working in a similar role, must be good at speaking English as commands for picking items are delivered through headset. As part of the selection process, inductions will be held on site in line with their health and safety policies.
