Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for a Nights Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s engineering team on a permanent night shift. This is a key role supporting production by keeping machinery running safely and efficiently.
Shift: 4 on / 4 off nights (7:00pm – 7:00am)
Duties and Responsibilities as a Nights Maintenance Engineer:
- Responding quickly to machine breakdowns and carrying out repairs
- Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Recording maintenance work and updating logs
- Supporting continuous improvement and reducing waste
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Experience and qualifications required as a Nights Maintenance Engineer:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 18th Edition Electrical Installations qualification
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Engineer role within a manufacturing environment
- Advanced mechanical, electrical, and systems knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Effective communication and training skills for both engineers and operators
