The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Scanning, lifting, Picking & Packing, labelling, wrapping and checking products
The working hours are:
- Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm at Β£12.71/hour
Purpose of the Role
To manage incoming stock by replenishing shelves, ensuring accurate inventory records, performing quality checks, resolving discrepancies, and adhering to safety protocols, while collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenishment: Replenish stock on shelves and in storage areas.
- Inspecting Goods: Compare physical counts with system records to identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during daily tasks.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory records to reflect new stock levels. Organize and label stock in designated storage areas. Ensure that stock is stored in a manner that maintains its quality and accessibility.
- Quality Check: Carefully examine all stock for any signs of damage or defects. Place damaged items in a designated area for further assessment. Implement and follow procedures to minimize the risk of damage during handling and storage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines within the warehouse. Keep the warehouse clean and organized to facilitate easy access to stock.
- Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as Stores Fulfilment and E-commerce Department, to ensure smooth operations.
This list is not exhaustive. Colleagues are expected to undertake all reasonable requests necessary for the successful completion of their duties.
Required Experience and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills to operate warehouse management software on PCs for updating stock records and generating reports, as well as using RF guns for stock transactions and inventory management.
- Basic math skills are essential for accurately tallying incoming stock, recording quantities, and calculating the total number of items received.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including trolleys and pump trucks.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (not more than 20kg), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks (Physical Requirements).
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
