Shift: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, day time, weekend availability required
Pay Rate: £13.03 per hour, paid weekly
Due to continued business growth, gap personnel are excited to be recruiting for a Stores Operative to join the friendly, diverse, and passionate team at Yeo Valley in Newton Abbot.
Your Role as a Stores Operative:
- Carrying out stock check and booking in of parts for engineering stores in Newton Abbot site.
- Minimising down time by making sure critical parts are available.
- Assisting with part identification working closely with part suppliers.
- Assisting with project work as and when required, including the introduction of new parts for new plant and equipment.
- Continuously improving the stores layout and identification of parts for optimised equipment up time.
- Providing specialist knowledge and insight for new and current technologies whilst developing the knowledge in colleagues and wider teams.
- Maintain effective communication including timely escalation of appropriate information with department and site management teams.
- Actively participate in department and cross functional activity to deliver performance against set KPI targets to ensure all aspects of engineering are effective with clear actions and focused ownership to control and correct to root cause in a timely manner.

- Commitment to health & safety and food hygiene practices
- Previous warehouse or food manufacturing experience (desirable)
- Forklift licence (an advantage but not essential)
