About the Role
We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Operative to join a busy team based in Southend-on-Sea. This is a hands-on role that will involve a variety of maintenance tasks including painting and general labouring duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is practical, versatile, and available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- General painting and decorating of internal and external areas
- Preparing surfaces prior to painting, including sanding, filling, and priming
- Carrying out general labouring tasks to support the maintenance team
- Assisting with site clearance, moving materials, and general upkeep of the premises
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, safe, and tidy at all times
- Following health and safety guidelines on site at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance, painting, or labouring role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Own basic hand tools preferred
