Gap Personnel, operating as an employment business, are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative with FLT licences Category B and P for a company based in the Skelmersdale area. The position is ongoing with a possibility of going into a permanent contract for suitable candidates.
Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: £13.23 per hour, plus shift allowance when applicable
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Join Our Team
We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Skelmersdale. This is a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently. You'll work closely with colleagues across the warehouse, production and customer service teams to help deliver excellent service to our customers. During peak periods, you may be required to work a rotating shift pattern of 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, with a shift allowance paid when applicable. At other times, your working hours may be 8:00 - 16:00, depending on business requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Receiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely using forklift trucks
- Picking, packing and preparing customer and production orders
- Storing stock accurately and maintaining stock accuracy
- Operating FLT Category B and Category P trucks safely
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet customer deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Mandatory:
- Valid FLT Category B licence
- Valid FLT Category P licence
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience
- Good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns
