gap personnel acting as an employment business are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative for our client based in Severn Beach, BS35. As a Despatch Operative you will join a team where you will become a key and valued member providing support.
In this role you will support the efficient and safe dismantling, sorting, and processing of end-of-life telecom equipment for reuse, recycling, or responsible disposal. This position also involves adhering to strict environmental, health & safety, and data handling protocols to ensure compliance and sustainability standards are maintained.
Duties:
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for shipping in line with dispatch schedules
- Verifying product codes, quantities, and documentation against shipping orders
- Labelling packages correctly for national and international shipment
- Sending and responding to emails internally
- Ensuring parcels are prepared for despatching according to customer specification
Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar environment preferred
- Familiarity with shipping documentation (packing slips, labels, etc.)
- Basic computer skills or experience using scanners
- Demonstrate practical skills
- Work as part of a team and also independently
