Our client based in the Ellesmere Port area is currently looking for a Senior Planner to join their team on a permanent basis.

Performance Objectives

  • Oversee the MRP process - Outputs, exceptions, and planning parameters (lead time, ROP, ROQ and Safety stock).
  • Capacity and load management - Balance workload, identify constraints and mitigating actions.
  • Purchasing (materials) - Oversee standard lead time purchases, manage supply of long lead time purchases (Far East).
  • Inventory - Optimise stock levels, monitor stock health, and define safety stock strategy.
  • ERP Planning Data Management - Maintain data integrity, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
  • Change Management - Control and co-ordinate changes and lead stock phase in/out.
  • Root cause analysis & correct action - Analyse supply chain and planning failures and implement robust corrective action.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience in senior planning or supply chain role.
  • MRP/ERP systems experience is essential.
  • Deep understanding of capacity planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and at times high pressurised environments.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning software.
  • Flexibility around working hours.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and remain organised.
