Role: Fabricator

Job Description
- Shape metal material over anvils, blocks, or other forms, using hand tools
- Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
- Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, rivets, braze and solder in order to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools
- Develop and lay out patterns that use materials most efficiently
- Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material
- Inspect individual parts, assemblies, and installations for conformance to specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of working in an engineering fabrication environment for a minimum of 5 years
- Experience of working with a variety of materials
- Knowledge of fabricating machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted
- The ability to interpret an engineering drawing and imagine how the product should look after it is completed
- Must be reliable and trustworthy
- Must be highly responsible, effective, confident and capable.
