Working hours: Monday to Thursday 6.30am-2.30pm, Friday 6.30am-2.30pm.
Our client is a well-established precision sheet metalwork and fabrication company, producing complex fabrications to automotive, security, civil nuclear, agricultural, maritime, construction and heavy engineering sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery while ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
- Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select and install the correct tooling and fixtures.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust where required.
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Work to production schedules and deadlines.
- Always ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar environment. Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Turner, or CNC Miller with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Knowledge of precision measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, and gauges.
