Job Title: Quality Production Operative – 3 Shift Pattern

Location: Port Talbot

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour + 30% shift allowance

Shift Pattern:

  • Morning: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Afternoon: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Night: 10:00pm – 6:00am

We are currently seeking Quality Production Operatives to join our team on a 3-shift rotating pattern. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, playing a key role in ensuring product quality through regular inspections and rework processes.

Role Overview

This role sits within the Quality Department, focusing on the inspection of finished stock and identifying/removing common manufacturing defects. You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the production process, including rework of pallets and visual checks of final products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process and final inspection stage
  • Safely move finished pallets from warehouse to inspection area
  • Set up pallets correctly for inspection to avoid product mix-ups
  • Visually inspect finished products for defects such as print errors, scratches, dents, or malformations
  • Work closely with the Quality Co-ordinator to assess stock, identify defect trends, and report findings
  • Accurately document reworked or sorted stock and maintain detailed records
  • Adhere to all site Health & Safety procedures at all times

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment
  • Skilled in the use of hand or electric pallet trucks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
  • Effective communicator and team player
