Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Operative to join a busy food production facility based in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous food manufacturing experience who understands the importance of food safety, quality standards, and compliance within a fast-paced production environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Monitoring product quality on production lines to ensure customer and company standards are met.
  • Performing routine checks on metal detection equipment and recording results accurately.
  • Completing quality documentation and maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitoring GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards across production areas.
  • Conducting line audits and ensuring compliance with food safety procedures.
  • Reporting quality concerns and working closely with production teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensuring products are manufactured in line with company specifications and food safety requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing or food production environment is essential.
  • Experience working in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or food safety-related role is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with production staff.
  • Ability to challenge non-compliant behaviours and promote food safety standards.
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Confident in communicating quality, food safety, and hygiene requirements to production teams and ensuring company standards are maintained at all times.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining high quality standards.
