Gap Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join their Purchasing team.
This is a permanent opportunity based within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will support the Purchasing Manager in ensuring stock availability targets are achieved through effective supplier communication, accurate data management and efficient purchasing administration.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers, colleagues and internal departments.

- Monday - Thursday 8am till 5pm
- Friday 8am till 12:30pm

Key Responsibilities
- Keeping accurate and up to date information within the system
- Administration duties
- Manage day to day purchasing queries from inernal departments
- Reconciliations
- Data entry
- Submit export documentation to designated freight agents and assist with customers clearance
- Identify and assist with cost saving strategies and price comparisions
- Stock managment of key account
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing support role
- Excellent numeracy and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and self-manage
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and colleagues
- Proactive approach with good problem-solving skills
